Shai Shamir

Shai brings 20 years of experience in NY Real Estate with projects that range from ground up development to repositioning of existing assets. Most recently, as the CEO of BrackCapital Real Estate USA, a leading international owner, developer and manager of large scale real estate ventures, Shai was involved in transactions in which BrackCapital acted as a principal in investments of over $10 Billion. Shai joined BrackCapital in 2003 and has since been involved in business development, structured finance, acquisitions, construction and asset management activities. In recent years he took part in the acquisition, deal structuring and development of numerous hotel projects, residential ground-up developments and condominium conversions. In addition, he led the development of several new hotels in New York City totaling more than 1,000 rooms. Prior to his work at BrackCapital, Shai was an entrepreneur, owning and managing several private businesses. He holds an MS degree from the Real Estate program at Columbia University and a B.A. in Economics from the Tel Aviv University. To satisfy his love of teaching, Shai is an adjunct professor in the Real Estate Masters degree at both Columbia University and NYU.
